The WIZnet Ethernet HAT is a compact and versatile expansion board engineered to equip Raspberry Pi single-board computers with robust Ethernet connectivity. Designed to attach directly to the Pi’s 40-pin GPIO header, this HAT integrates the powerful WIZnet W5100S Ethernet controller, an RJ45 connector, and all necessary supporting circuitry for reliable wired communication.

Featuring the W5100S chip, this HAT provides a full hardwired TCP/IP stack, offloading network processing from the host Raspberry Pi. It supports a wide array of essential network protocols including TCP, UDP, ICMP, IPv4, ARP, IGMP, and PPPoE.
