Description
The RP2040-Zero is a versatile, low-cost, and high-performance microcontroller board built around Raspberry Pi’s custom RP2040 silicon. Its compact footprint makes it ideal for space-constrained projects, while its design ensures broad compatibility with the existing Raspberry Pi Pico ecosystem.
At its core, the board features a dual-core ARM Cortex M0+ processor running at up to 133 MHz, coupled with 264KB of SRAM and 2MB of dedicated Flash memory. This configuration provides ample processing power and storage for a wide range of embedded applications, from simple sensor reading to more complex IoT tasks. Connectivity options are robust, including 29 multi-function GPIO pins, two SPI, two I2C, and two UART interfaces.
Furthermore, the RP2040-Zero incorporates USB 1.1 device and host support via its convenient USB-C connector, facilitating easy programming through drag-and-drop mass storage. Its eight Programmable I/O (PIO) state machines enable custom high-speed peripheral support, expanding its utility for specialized hardware interactions. With built-in low-power modes and an on-chip temperature sensor, it is well-suited for energy-efficient, battery-powered deployments.
