Description
The Arduino GIGA R1 WiFi is engineered for advanced makers and developers seeking to integrate high-performance computing with extensive connectivity into their projects. Leveraging the powerful STM32H7 dual-core Cortex-M7/M4 microcontroller, also found in the Portenta H7 series, this board brings robust processing capabilities to the familiar, larger Arduino Mega/Due form factor, providing up to 76 versatile GPIO pins for complex system designs.
Beyond its powerful MCU, the GIGA R1 WiFi features integrated WiFi 4 (802.11b/g/n) and Bluetooth 5.1, enabling seamless wireless communication for IoT, networking, and device pairing applications. It offers a comprehensive suite of on-board connectors including a USB Type-C port for programming and power, a USB 2.0 Type-A host port for external peripherals, a 3.5mm audio jack, and dedicated headers for display and camera modules, simplifying hardware integration without additional shields.
Peripheral support is extensive, with 4 UARTs, 3 I2C, 2 SPI, and 1 FDCAN interface. The board also includes unique features like a VRTC pin for Real-Time Clock battery backup and an OFF pin for controlled shutdown. Designed for flexibility, the GIGA R1 WiFi accepts a wide input voltage range of 6V to 24V DC, making it suitable for various power supply environments.
