Description
The Arduino Uno WiFi Rev2 fundamentally updates the classic Arduino Uno platform by integrating essential wireless communication and enhanced processing capabilities. It comes equipped with a new 8-bit ATMEGA4809 microprocessor from Microchip Technology, offering increased performance compared to its predecessors. For secure WiFi connectivity, the board incorporates a dedicated module fortified by an ECC608 crypto chip accelerator, enabling reliable and protected data exchange over a network or as an access point.
Functionally, the Uno WiFi Rev2 closely mirrors the Arduino Uno Rev3, ensuring compatibility with a vast ecosystem of existing shields and libraries, making it an accessible upgrade path for developers. Beyond WiFi, it includes an onboard Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), expanding its utility into applications requiring motion sensing and orientation tracking. The board features 14 digital input/output pins (6 with PWM output), 6 analog inputs, a USB connection, power jack, and ICSP header, providing comprehensive I/O for a wide range of embedded systems.
This development board simplifies the process of bringing connected devices to life. Simply connect it via USB to your computer or power it with an AC adapter or battery, and you’re ready to leverage its advanced features for IoT, automation, and interactive projects.
