Description
The Uno R3 stands as one of the most widely used and accepted modules for rapid prototyping and embedded systems development. It boasts a massive global user community, contributing to extensive resources and support. This board is based on the ATmega328P-AU microcontroller from the Atmel AVR Family, an 8-bit MCU that, despite its entry-level positioning, packs significant capabilities with 32 KB of Flash memory, 2 KB of SRAM, and 1 KB of EEPROM.
Designed for versatility, the Uno R3 features 14 digital input/output pins, six of which are capable of Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) output, alongside 6 analog input pins. It incorporates the 1.0 pinout standard, adding dedicated SDA and SCL pins near the AREF for I2C communication, and an IOREF pin near the RESET button. The IOREF pin enables shields to adapt to the board’s operating voltage, enhancing compatibility with both 5V (AVR) and 3.3V (e.g., Arduino Due) systems. Additionally, it features a stronger RESET circuit for improved reliability.
