The FS-10 Flow Switch from TE Connectivity utilizes a hermetically sealed reed switch mechanism actuated by a magnetic piston. Flow of the medium (water or air) moves the piston, which closes the SPST-NO (Single-Pole, Single-Throw, Normally Open) contacts. This design ensures high reliability and long life with minimal pressure drop, making it ideal for systems where low flow initiation is critical.
Constructed with a 15mm copper pipe body and ruthenium contacts, the switch is built for durability in residential and light industrial fluid control applications. Its vertical mounting orientation and robust mechanical ratings allow for stable operation in environments with significant vibration and shock, such as in power showers, central heating pumps, and cooling system monitors.
