Description
The Seeed Studio Studio reCamera 2002 Base Board WiFi HaLow is a specialized expansion module designed to equip the reCamera 2002 series with long-range, low-power wireless communication. It implements the IEEE 802.11ah (WiFi HaLow) standard, operating in the license-free 902–928 MHz ISM band. This sub-GHz frequency provides significantly improved range and signal penetration compared to traditional 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, making it ideal for challenging outdoor and industrial environments.
The board supports a theoretical maximum data rate of 32.5 Mbps, configurable across 2 MHz, 4 MHz, and 8 MHz channel bandwidths to balance throughput and link robustness. With a theoretical maximum transmit power of 27 dBm, it is engineered for reliable connectivity over distances up to 1 kilometer in line-of-sight conditions. Power management is highly flexible, accepting 12V DC, USB Type-C, or a 3.7V Li-ion battery, enabling deployment in both fixed and portable surveillance or telemetry setups.
