This sensor features an NPN (sinking) output. In its normally open (NO) configuration, the output switch closes to ground (0V) when a target is detected, making it compatible with the common wiring schemes of most PLCs and industrial controllers that accept a sinking input signal.

Unlike inductive sensors, this capacitive model can detect both conductive and non-conductive materials. It is particularly effective for non-metallic targets such as plastics, glass, wood, liquids, powders, and cardboard. The integrated sensitivity adjustment allows you to fine-tune the sensor for optimal performance with your specific material.

Mount the sensor using its standard M18 x 1 metric thread into a drilled and tapped hole on your machine frame or mounting bracket. For wiring, connect the brown wire to the positive DC supply voltage (typically 10-30V DC), the blue wire to the common ground (0V), and the black wire is the NPN output signal to your controller's input. Always ensure correct polarity to activate the built-in protection features.
