Pro-Range CRJ-A12-5APB Capacitive Proximity Sensor - PNP Output, M12 Thread, 5mm Detection

The Pro-Range CRJ-A12-5APB sensor is designed for a standard industrial DC voltage range of 10 to 30V. Ensure your power supply matches this range and is properly fused. The PNP output will switch the positive supply voltage to the load when a target is detected.

While primarily optimized for non-metallic materials like plastics, liquids, and wood, capacitive sensors can detect all objects that affect the dielectric field. However, for reliable and consistent detection of metals, an inductive proximity sensor is generally recommended due to its immunity to material composition changes.

The sensor features an integrated sensitivity adjustment potentiometer, typically located on the back or side of the housing. Use a small screwdriver to turn the potentiometer while observing the indicator LED and your control system's input. Adjust until the sensor reliably detects the desired target at the required distance without false triggering.

The standard 3-wire connection includes a brown wire for DC positive (10-30V), a blue wire for DC negative (0V/GND), and a black wire for the PNP output signal. Connect the black wire to your PLC's digital input. The output will supply positive voltage (sourcing) to the input when the target is present.
