The CLJ-A12-4ANA operates on the electromagnetic induction principle, generating an oscillating field from its sensing face. When a conductive (primarily ferrous) metal object enters this field, eddy currents are induced, causing a change in oscillation amplitude that is detected and converted into a solid-state NPN switching signal. This non-contact method ensures long operational life and eliminates mechanical wear.
Engineered for harsh industrial environments, the sensor features a durable SUS-304 stainless steel body with IP67-rated sealing (typical for this form factor), providing resistance to dust, coolants, and oil splashes. Its compact M12 form factor allows for easy integration into tight spaces on machinery, conveyor systems, and robotic cells.
