The Pro-Range CCJ-A12M-3APA sensor is designed for standard industrial DC voltage levels, typically operating within a 10-30V DC range. It is crucial to connect the brown wire to the positive supply (V+), the blue wire to the common negative (0V), and the black wire is the PNP switching output. Always verify the specific voltage requirements against your controller's specifications before installation.

While capacitive sensors are primarily optimized for detecting non-metallic materials like plastics, liquids, and glass, they can also sense metallic objects. However, the detection distance for metals will be significantly shorter than the stated 3mm nominal range. For reliable metal detection, an inductive proximity sensor is generally recommended.

This sensor features a built-in potentiometer, usually accessed via a small screw on the side of the housing.
