MC-38 Wired Door Window Magnetic Sensor Alarm Switch - Normally Closed, 30cm Cable
The MC-38 is a normally-closed (NC) wired magnetic reed switch designed for door and window security alarm systems. It provides a simple, reliable contact closure triggered by a built-in magnet, suitable for integration with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, and commercial alarm panels.
Features
- Normally Closed (NC) reed switch contact rated for 100V / 0.5A max.
- Compact plastic housing (28mm x 14mm) with white finish for discreet installation.
- Includes 30cm pre-wired cable for easy connection to control systems.
- Actuation distance of 15-25mm between sensor and supplied magnet.
- Supplied with M5 screws for secure mounting on doors, windows, or cabinets.

The MC-38 magnetic contact sensor operates on a simple reed switch principle. When the integrated magnet is within the 15-25mm actuation range, the switch contacts remain closed, completing the circuit. When the door or window is opened and the magnet moves away, the contacts open, breaking the circuit and triggering an alarm state in the connected monitoring system.
This sensor is designed for embedded installation within door or window frames, offering strong concealment. Its normally-closed configuration is the standard for security loops, where an open circuit indicates a breach. The included 30cm cable provides flexibility for wiring to central alarm panels, microcontroller GPIO pins, or relay modules.
