Description

The LilyGO T-Halow V1.0 is a specialized IoT development board engineered for robust, long-range wireless communication. It integrates the powerful ESP32-S3 microcontroller, providing 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5 LE connectivity, with a dedicated sub-GHz radio transceiver operating in the 859–894MHz band. This dual-radio architecture allows developers to create hybrid networks, using the sub-GHz link for extended-range sensor telemetry and the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth stack for local configuration and gateway connectivity.

At its core, the board leverages the ESP32-S3’s dual-core Xtensa LX7 processor, capable of running at up to 240MHz, and is equipped with substantial 16MB of flash memory and 8MB of PSRAM. This memory configuration supports complex firmware, Over-The-Air (OTA) updates, and buffering for sensor data or lightweight machine learning models. The inclusion of a precise 875MHz SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave) filter on the sub-GHz front-end ensures optimal receiver sensitivity and transmitter spectral purity, which is critical for reliable operation in crowded RF environments.

Designed for field deployment, the board supports direct powering from a single 18650 rechargeable lithium cell, simplifying the design of battery-operated remote nodes.
