KSD9700/BK05-BB1D Metallic Shell Temperature Control Switch (160C NC, 10A 250V)
The KSD9700/BK05-BB1D is a metallic-shell, snap-action thermal switch designed for reliable over-temperature protection in electrical appliances and industrial equipment. It operates as a normally closed (NC) switch, opening its contacts at a calibrated 160°C setpoint to interrupt up to 10A at 250V AC/DC loads.
Features
- Metallic shell construction for robust thermal conduction and durability.
- Normally Closed (NC) snap-action switch opens at a precise 160°C setpoint.
- High current rating of 10A at 250V AC/DC for direct load control.
- Compact design with integrated 7cm lead wires for easy installation.
- Reliable over-temperature protection for motors, transformers, and heating elements.

The KSD9700/BK05-BB1D is a bimetallic disc-type thermal switch housed in a metallic shell for optimal thermal response. When the ambient temperature reaches its factory-calibrated 160°C trip point, the internal bimetallic element snaps, mechanically opening the normally closed contacts to break the circuit. This action provides a failsafe, non-resettable cut-off to protect sensitive components from thermal damage.
Engineered for direct series connection with the load, this switch is suitable for a wide range of AC and DC applications up to 250V. Its metallic housing ensures rapid heat transfer and consistent trip accuracy, while the compact form factor and pre-attached wires facilitate straightforward mounting in constrained spaces within appliances, power supplies, and industrial control panels.
