The KSD9700/BK05-BB1D is a bimetallic disc thermostat housed in a metallic shell for optimal thermal response. When the surrounding temperature reaches its calibrated 100°C trip point, the internal snap-action mechanism rapidly opens the Normally Closed (NC) contacts, breaking the circuit to prevent overheating. This automatic reset device closes the contacts again once the temperature drops sufficiently below the setpoint, allowing for cyclic operation.
Engineered for direct series connection in power circuits, its 10A/250V rating eliminates the need for auxiliary relays in many applications. The metallic housing ensures efficient heat transfer from the protected component and offers mechanical robustness in industrial environments, making it suitable for integration into motor windings, transformer coils, battery packs, and heating elements.
