Description

The GY-NEO6MV2 is a compact GPS receiver module built around the industry-standard Ublox NEO-6M chipset, designed for embedded location-based applications. It provides 50-channel satellite acquisition with a high tracking sensitivity of -160 dBm, ensuring reliable positioning data even in challenging signal environments. The module includes a passive ceramic patch antenna, offering a balance between performance and a low-profile form factor suitable for drones, robotics, and portable trackers.

Communication is handled via a straightforward TTL-level UART serial interface, configured by default at 9600 baud for immediate compatibility with common microcontrollers and single-board computers. An integrated EEPROM allows the module to retain critical configuration data, such as last known position and settings, across power cycles. With an operating voltage range of 3.3V to 5V and a robust operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C, this module is engineered for reliable performance in diverse IoT and DIY electronics projects.
