The KSD302 is a bimetallic disc thermostat housed in a durable ceramic body. The device operates on a snap-action principle: when the ambient temperature reaches its calibrated setpoint of 100°C, the internal bimetallic disc deforms, causing the normally open (NO) contacts to close (or, conversely, a normally closed configuration to open, depending on wiring). This action directly controls the connected circuit without requiring an external power supply.
Its ceramic construction provides excellent electrical isolation, flame retardancy, and resistance to thermal shock, ensuring long-term reliability in demanding environments. The 250V 10A rating allows it to be used as a primary safety cut-off or control element in various resistive heating applications and power equipment.
