The GY-91 module combines a MEMS-based MPU6500 inertial measurement unit with a piezoresistive BMP280 environmental sensor. The MPU6500 provides high-fidelity 16-bit digital outputs for triaxial acceleration (programmable full-scale ranges up to ±16g) and angular rate (up to ±2000°/s), enabling precise motion tracking and orientation estimation. The integrated BMP280 sensor delivers calibrated digital readings for atmospheric pressure (300-1100 hPa) and ambient temperature, supporting altitude calculation and environmental monitoring.
This sensor fusion module operates from a 3-5V DC supply, featuring an onboard voltage regulator for stable performance. Its standard I2C and SPI serial interfaces ensure straightforward connectivity with development boards like Arduino, STM32, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi, making it a versatile core component for inertial navigation, robotic stabilization, and motion-controlled application prototyping.
