This module integrates an electret microphone capsule with a signal conditioning circuit to convert acoustic pressure waves into a corresponding analog DC voltage. The onboard operational amplifier provides gain control, allowing the sensitivity to be tuned for different acoustic environments, from quiet rooms to noisy industrial settings.
The output is a conditioned DC signal centered around VCC/2, making it directly compatible with the analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) found on Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi Pico, and other microcontrollers. The built-in filter-rectifier ensures a stable output, minimizing noise and providing a reliable signal for sound-triggered logic or sound level monitoring applications.
