Description
eSUN PA12-CF is an engineering-grade filament developed from Polyamide 12, significantly enhanced with 15% carbon fiber reinforcement. This composition dramatically boosts the material’s strength, rigidity, and overall toughness, enabling it to serve as a reliable substitute for metal in various applications. Its intrinsically low water absorption rate means printed parts are less susceptible to dimensional changes influenced by humidity and temperature fluctuations, ensuring consistent performance.
This advanced filament boasts high toughness and impact resistance, capable of producing highly durable parts with an elongation at break of up to 165% and excellent fatigue resistance. Its self-lubricating and wear-resistant properties make it particularly well-suited for printing mechanical gears and other moving components. Furthermore, eSUN PA12-CF exhibits impressive temperature resistance, with a heat distortion temperature of 100℃ and a continuous use temperature up to 120℃, with short-term resistance up to 160℃.
Designed for printability, PA12-CF features low shrinkage, reducing the likelihood of warping and cracking during the printing process. This ensures greater success rates for complex geometries and larger prints. The resulting parts exhibit a desirable matte and delicate surface finish, combining aesthetic appeal with superior mechanical performance, making it an ideal material for professional engineering and high-performance prototyping.
