Description
The Bambu Lab PA6-GF 1.75mm Filament is a high-performance, glass fiber reinforced nylon (PA6) material specifically engineered for additive manufacturing of robust and durable components. The integration of glass fibers significantly elevates its mechanical strength, stiffness, and thermal stability, making it an excellent choice for applications requiring structural integrity and resistance to harsh conditions. This filament provides outstanding wear resistance and toughness, while its composition contributes to improved dimensional consistency.
Optimized for demanding engineering and industrial use, PA6-GF is perfectly suited for creating gears, protective housings, robust brackets, and other functional mechanical parts. To ensure optimal print quality, it is crucial to dry the filament at 80 °C for 8–12 hours prior to printing and maintain a low humidity environment during storage. Printing in an enclosed chamber and utilizing a build plate adhesive can significantly mitigate warping, a common challenge with nylon-based materials.
For further strength enhancement, printed parts can undergo an optional annealing process at 80–130 °C. It is also recommended to remove supports promptly after printing to avoid fusion with the part due to strong layer adhesion. The reusable spool design aids in consistent filament feeding throughout your print jobs.
