The Calixto MBGWY00x Modbus Gateway is a hardened industrial communication node engineered for Industry 4.0 and IIoT deployments. It functions as a protocol translator and secure bridge, aggregating data from Modbus RTU/TCP serial networks—such as PLCs, energy meters, and sensors—and transmitting it to cloud-based SCADA, MES, or analytics platforms. Its dual-path connectivity, via 10/100 Mbps Ethernet or embedded 4G cellular modem, ensures network redundancy and operational continuity in remote or challenging field locations.
Built with industrial-grade components, the gateway incorporates isolated RS485 interfaces to protect against ground loops and electrical noise, enhancing signal integrity in harsh EMI environments. On-board edge processing handles protocol conversion, data buffering, and secure tunneling using MQTT(S) or HTTP(S).
