The DHT20 represents a significant upgrade over the popular DHT11, integrating a dedicated ASIC sensor chip, a semiconductor silicon-based capacitive humidity sensing element, and a calibrated on-chip temperature sensor. This design delivers enhanced reliability, improved accuracy, and superior performance stability, especially in high-temperature and high-humidity conditions.
Communicating via a standard I2C interface, the sensor provides fully digital output, simplifying wiring and reducing noise susceptibility compared to analog sensors. Its wide supply voltage compatibility makes it suitable for a broad spectrum of embedded and IoT applications, from portable devices to industrial monitoring systems.
