The SHT10 module is a specialized environmental sensor designed for soil and outdoor weather monitoring. It houses a Sensirion SHT1x-series digital sensor chip within a protective sintered metal mesh enclosure. This design allows water vapor to permeate for accurate humidity measurement while shielding the sensitive electronics from direct soil contact and moisture ingress, making it suitable for temporary submersion.
The sensor communicates via a proprietary 2-wire digital interface (clock and data), providing calibrated digital readings for both relative humidity and temperature. Its excellent long-term stability and low power consumption make it ideal for integration into automated irrigation systems, greenhouse controllers, and environmental data loggers.
