Description
The Arducam 12MP IMX708 Fixed Focus Camera Module is engineered for developers and integrators requiring reliable, high-speed imaging on the Raspberry Pi platform. At its core is the Sony IMX708, a 1/2.43-inch back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor that outputs 4608 x 2592 pixel resolution with enhanced dynamic range through HDR modes. The fixed-focus F1.8 lens with a 66° horizontal field of view eliminates focus hunting, providing consistent performance for computer vision, surveillance, and data acquisition projects.
This module is fully supported by the standard Raspberry Pi camera software stack, including libcamera and Picamera2, enabling immediate use for still capture and video streaming up to 120fps at lower resolutions. Its integrated IR-cut filter ensures color accuracy for visible-light applications, while the compact 25mm x 24mm footprint allows for easy integration into space-constrained designs. The included dual FPC cables offer direct compatibility with the Raspberry Pi 5’s 22-pin connector and other standard 15-pin interfaces.
