Description
The Adafruit Feather 328P brings the reliability of the ATmega328P microcontroller to Adafruit’s lightweight Feather form factor, operating at 3.3V and 8 MHz. This setup is familiar to users of Arduino Pro Mini and similar boards, providing 32KB of flash memory and 2KB of RAM, ideal for classic Arduino-compatible applications. An onboard SiLabs CP2104 USB-to-Serial converter simplifies programming and debugging through a single micro USB connection.
Designed with portability in mind, the Feather 328P integrates a connector for 3.7V Lithium polymer batteries and a built-in battery charging circuit. It can run directly from the micro USB power or seamlessly switch to battery power for untethered operation, with USB automatically handling recharging when connected. An analog pin is dedicated to monitoring battery voltage, allowing for intelligent power management.
Beyond its core functionality, the Feather 328P offers a small prototyping area for direct attachment of components, potentially eliminating the need for a breadboard in simple projects. It provides a generous 19 GPIO pins, including hardware I2C and SPI support, 6 PWM pins, and 8 analog inputs, making it versatile for a wide range of embedded sensing and control applications.
