The KSD9700 thermostatic switch utilizes a bimetallic disc as its temperature-sensing element. When the ambient temperature reaches the calibrated setpoint (150°C), the disc snaps and mechanically opens the normally closed (NC) electrical contacts, breaking the circuit to protect the connected equipment from overheating.
This switch is designed for direct, in-line installation within electrical assemblies. Its plastic housing provides electrical insulation, while the integrated 7cm wire leads simplify wiring. The device resets automatically once the temperature drops below the setpoint, restoring the circuit connection.
