Generic Flame Sensor Infrared Receiver Module - 1 Channel, 3.3V/5V, 60° Detection Angle
This single-channel flame sensor module detects ignition sources and fire via infrared radiation (760–1100 nm) with a 60° detection angle. It operates on 3.3V or 5V DC logic and provides a direct digital output signal compatible with microcontrollers like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and ESP32 for fire alarm and safety systems.
Features
- Detects flame & infrared sources within 760–1100 nm wavelength range
- 60° detection cone angle for broad coverage area
- Onboard potentiometer for precise sensitivity adjustment
- Digital output signal (HIGH on detection) directly interfaces with microcontroller I/O
- Dual LED indicators for power (red) and signal output (green)

This infrared flame sensor module operates on the principle of detecting specific wavelengths of light emitted by flames, primarily in the near-infrared spectrum from 760 nm to 1100 nm. It features a built-in photodiode and signal conditioning circuit that converts detected IR radiation into a clean digital logic signal. When a flame or suitable IR source is within its 60-degree conical field of view, the module outputs a HIGH signal, simultaneously illuminating its onboard indicator LED.
Designed for integration into electronic control systems, the module includes a sensitivity-adjusting potentiometer to fine-tune its response threshold, minimizing false triggers from ambient light. Its compact PCB design includes standard 2.54mm pitch pin headers for easy connection to development boards, industrial PLC digital inputs, or custom safety circuits, making it a fundamental component for early fire detection.
