The GB20-T48 operates on the principle of infrared beam interruption. An array of 48 synchronized infrared LEDs (950nm) in the emitter unit projects a curtain of light to a matched receiver. Any object interrupting one or more beams triggers an output signal within 10ms, enabling immediate machine shutdown or safety protocol activation.

Designed for harsh industrial environments, the sensor features an IP64 ingress protection rating and a housing constructed from aluminum alloy, ABS plastic, and cold-rolled steel.
