Generic 5mm Infrared Slot Photoelectric Count Sensor Module - LM393 Output
This 5mm slot-type infrared photoelectric sensor module provides a digital output via an LM393 comparator for object counting, speed detection, and position sensing, compatible with 3.3V/5V microcontrollers like Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi.
Features
- 5mm wide optical coupling slot for precise object detection.
- Digital output via LM393 comparator with active-low logic signal.
- Dual LED indicators for power (red) and output state (green).
- Compact PCB design with mounting holes for easy integration.
- Low power consumption, suitable for battery-operated counters and tachometers.

This photoelectric sensor module employs an infrared transmitter and receiver pair aligned across a 5mm wide slot. An object passing through the slot interrupts the IR beam, causing the onboard LM393 comparator to switch its output state from a default low (beam unbroken) to a high logic level (beam blocked). This digital signal is ideal for direct connection to microcontroller interrupt or digital input pins.
The module is designed for reliable counting and speed measurement in both hobbyist and light industrial applications. Its fixed sensitivity and non-adjustable design ensure consistent operation, while the compact form factor and standard 2.54mm pin spacing facilitate integration into prototypes and enclosures.
