The CZJ-A12-8ANA is an industrial-grade inductive proximity sensor that generates an electromagnetic field to detect the presence of conductive, ferrous metal targets without physical contact. Its operation is based on the eddy-current damping principle, where a metallic object entering the sensing zone alters the oscillation amplitude of an internal LC circuit, triggering a solid-state switch.
Housed in a robust M12 threaded barrel, this sensor is built for durability in industrial environments. The NPN open-collector output provides a sinking signal compatible with a wide range of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), microcontrollers like Arduino or Raspberry Pi (with appropriate interface circuits), and other industrial control systems. It offers reliable performance for object detection, limit switching, and position feedback in automated machinery.
