The Senba S9004 Fresnel lens is a critical optical component for Passive Infrared (PIR) motion detection systems. Its concentric groove pattern on one side focuses ambient infrared radiation from a wide 100° field of view onto the pyroelectric sensor element, significantly increasing its sensitivity and effective detection range to 8 meters. The smooth opposite side protects the optical surface.
Manufactured from transparent HDPE, this lens offers a high-value balance of optical performance, environmental resistance, and mechanical durability. It is a direct-fit component designed for integration into standard PIR sensor modules, alarm systems, and human presence detection switches, forming the essential optical interface between the environment and the sensing electronics.
