Generic AS-10 Optical Sensor Switch 24V 10A - Photoelectric Control Module

The AS-10 is designed to operate on 24 Volts, either AC or DC. It is critical to apply only 24V to the input terminals; exceeding this voltage may damage the internal control circuitry and relay.

This switch is compatible with a wide range of loads due to its relay output. It can handle resistive loads like incandescent bulbs (up to 1000W), inductive loads such as fan motors and fluorescent ballasts, and capacitive loads like some LED drivers, with a maximum current of 10 Amperes.

The module contains a photoresistor that senses ambient light levels. An integrated circuit compares this signal to a preset threshold, activating the internal relay to turn the load ON when it gets dark and OFF when sufficient daylight is detected. A built-in delay prevents rapid switching from brief light changes.

The three wires typically correspond to: 1) Line/Input (connects to the 24V power source), 2) Load/Output (connects to the device you want to control), and 3) Neutral/Common (completes the circuit for both the module's internal electronics and, in some configurations, the load). Always refer to the specific terminal markings and ensure power is disconnected during installation.

The standard AS-10 module features fixed sensitivity and delay settings determined by its internal integrated circuit. It does not include user-adjustable potentiometers for these parameters. For customized timing or threshold levels, a different photoelectric switch model with adjustment capabilities would be required.
