The ZTP-135L thermopile sensor operates on the principle of detecting infrared radiation emitted by a target object, converting it into a proportional voltage signal via a series of thermocouple junctions (thermopile). The integrated thermistor provides precise compensation for the sensor’s own ambient temperature, critical for accurate absolute temperature calculation. This hermetically-sealed TO-46 package ensures long-term stability and protection from environmental contaminants.
Designed for precision in compact applications, the sensor outputs a low-level signal that requires amplification and signal conditioning via an operational amplifier circuit. Its fast 25ms time constant enables monitoring of rapidly changing surface temperatures, making it ideal for responsive control systems and handheld measurement devices.
