The FS300A water flow sensor operates on the Hall effect principle. A magnetic rotor, integrated into the flow path, rotates as water passes through. The rotation speed is proportional to the flow rate. A sealed Hall effect sensor detects the rotating magnetic field and outputs a corresponding digital pulse signal, which can be counted by a microcontroller to calculate the volumetric flow rate.
Designed for durability, the sensor features a stainless steel ball bearing for smooth rotor operation and reduced friction. The Hall sensor is epoxy resin encapsulated, providing isolation from water and protection against oxidation. The valve body is constructed from ROHS-compliant plastics, suitable for use with water temperatures up to 80°C and pressures below 1.75 MPa.
