The YF-S402C water flow sensor operates on a hall-effect principle, where a magnetic rotor spins as liquid passes through the valve body. The embedded hall sensor detects each rotation, generating a digital pulse signal whose frequency is directly proportional to the volumetric flow rate. This output can be easily read by a microcontroller’s interrupt or counter pin for precise flow monitoring and control.
Constructed with a robust plastic housing and standard G3/8 threads, the sensor is designed for direct inline installation in water systems. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 0.8 MPa and can operate in environments with 5% to 90% relative humidity, making it suitable for a variety of residential and light industrial liquid monitoring applications.
