Generic MP-135 Air Quality Detection Gas Sensor Module - Analog Output
The MP-135 is a metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) air quality sensor module designed for easy integration with 5V microcontrollers like Arduino and ESP32. It provides an analog voltage output proportional to the concentration of various volatile organic compounds (VOCs) including alcohol, smoke, isobutane, and formaldehyde.
Features
- Detects multiple VOCs: Alcohol, Smoke, Isobutane, Formaldehyde
- Analog voltage output for direct ADC connection
- 5V DC operating voltage compatible with Arduino/Raspberry Pi
- Metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) sensing element in a protective metal shell
- Requires a brief 20-30 second preheat cycle for stable readings

The MP-135 gas sensor module utilizes a metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) sensing layer deposited on a micro alumina ceramic substrate. When the integrated heater brings the sensing element to its optimal operating temperature, the presence of target gases alters the semiconductor’s conductivity. This change in resistance is converted into a corresponding analog voltage signal by the onboard circuit.
Housed in a durable metal enclosure, the sensor is designed for stable performance in indoor environments. Its simple analog interface allows for straightforward connection to the analog input pins of most microcontrollers, making it suitable for air quality monitoring projects, smart home systems, and educational demonstrations.
