The Holybro DroneCAN H-RTK F9P is a state-of-the-art differential high-precision GNSS positioning system engineered for demanding UAV applications. It leverages the advanced DroneCAN protocol for communication, delivering multi-band RTK capabilities with exceptionally fast convergence times and reliable performance. With concurrent reception of GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou constellations, this module ensures centimeter-level accuracy essential for highly dynamic and high-volume operations.
The adoption of the DroneCAN protocol provides significant advantages, including an 8 Hz navigation update rate, enhanced upgradeability, superior noise immunity, and robust real-time features. This CAN-based communication is inherently more resistant to electromagnetic interference than traditional UART connections, improving system reliability. Furthermore, it does not occupy precious serial ports on the flight controller, allowing multiple CAN devices to be efficiently connected to the same bus via a hub.
Internally, the DroneCAN H-RTK F9P utilizes a u-blox ZED-F9P module, renowned for its precision GNSS capabilities. It also incorporates a BMM150 or IST8310 compass and a tri-colored LED indicator for status. Processing is handled by an STM32G4 processor, operating at 170 MHz with ample Flash and RAM for complex calculations. The module supports DroneCAN firmware upgrades via the DroneCAN GUI Tool and is fully compatible with the open-source Pixhawk series flight controllers.
