Description
The Seeed Studio Studio LoRa-E5 module is a system-in-package (SiP) solution built around the STM32WLE5JC, which combines an ARM Cortex-M4 microcontroller core with a Semtech SX1262 LoRa sub-GHz radio. This integration eliminates the need for an external MCU, simplifying design and reducing the overall bill of materials for low-power, wide-area network (LPWAN) applications.
Engineered for industrial IoT, the module operates at ultra-low currents, achieving a sleep current as low as 2.1µA in Wake-on-Radio (WOR) mode, which is critical for battery-powered endpoints. It supports both LoRa modulation for long-range, low-data-rate communication and (G)FSK mode for higher data throughput, offering flexibility across different use cases. The embedded LoRaWAN protocol stack and AT command interface allow for rapid prototyping and deployment without deep firmware development.
