The Heltec Automation Automation CubeCell AB02A is a specialized development board engineered for building robust, battery-powered LoRaWAN sensor nodes. Its core is the ASR6502 system-on-chip, which combines a 48MHz ARM Cortex-M0+ microcontroller with a Semtech SX1262 LoRa transceiver, creating a highly integrated and power-optimized wireless platform. This architecture enables stable execution of the LoRaWAN 1.0.2 protocol stack while maintaining exceptional energy efficiency, crucial for field deployments.

The board’s design prioritizes developer convenience and field reliability. It features a comprehensive set of 16 GPIO pins broken out on 2.54mm headers, a dedicated SMA connector for external antenna attachment, and a built-in holder for a 1/2 AA lithium battery.
