Description
The AI-Thinker RA-08H Spread Spectrum Wireless Module is a highly integrated solution built around the ASR6601 system-on-chip (SoC). This chip architecture merges a sub-GHz RF transceiver, a digital modem supporting various modulation schemes, and a capable 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0+ based RISC microcontroller running at 48MHz. This integration simplifies design and reduces the bill of materials for creating robust, long-range wireless nodes.
Engineered for Low-Power Wide-Area Network (LPWAN) applications, the module excels in scenarios requiring extended battery life and reliable communication over several kilometers. Its support for LoRa modulation provides access to the popular LoRaWAN protocol stack, while the inclusion of (G)FSK, BPSK, and (G)MSK enables compatibility with proprietary or legacy wireless systems. The module’s power management unit is finely tuned, offering several low-power sleep modes to minimize energy consumption during idle periods, which is critical for field-deployed sensors.
