Description

The Azure Sphere MT3620 Starter Kit provides a comprehensive hardware foundation for building highly secure, connected IoT edge devices. Its carrier board hosts a certified MT3620 module built around the MediaTek MT3620AN System-on-Chip, which integrates a 500 MHz ARM Cortex-A7 application processor and two 200 MHz ARM Cortex-M4F microcontrollers for deterministic real-time tasks. This architecture allows for the flexible assignment of rich peripherals—including UART, SPI, I2C, I2S, PWM, and ADC—across the three cores.

Designed for rapid prototyping, the board features direct access to on-board motion and environmental sensors and offers multiple expansion paths via industry-standard Mikroe Click sockets and a Grove I2C connector. Power and debugging are streamlined through a single USB connection, which supplies 5V and provides UART/JTAG interfaces for development.
