Description

The Waveshare ESP32-S3 development board combines a vibrant 1.64-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with the robust wireless capabilities of the Espressif ESP32-S3R8 SoC. This AIoT platform is engineered for developers creating rich Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), portable diagnostic tools, or interactive wearable devices. The board’s architecture leverages the Xtensa LX7 dual-core processor running at up to 240MHz, paired with substantial 16MB Flash and 8MB PSRAM, ensuring smooth operation of complex graphical frameworks like LVGL.

Beyond the display, the board incorporates a comprehensive suite of peripherals including a QMI8658 6-axis inertial measurement unit for precise motion tracking, a microSD (TF) card slot for asset storage, and a dedicated header for 3.7V Li-Po battery management. The inclusion of USB Type-C for power, programming, and debugging, alongside accessible I2C and UART breakouts, accelerates prototyping.
