The Waveshare ESP32-S3 High-Performance Development Board (Case B) is a feature-rich AIoT platform centered on Espressif’s ESP32-S3R8 dual-core Xtensa LX7 processor. It delivers high-performance computing at up to 240 MHz, paired with ample 8MB PSRAM and 16MB Flash, making it suitable for machine learning inference, audio processing, and complex firmware.
Wireless connectivity is handled by the integrated 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) and Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy radio, enabling seamless IoT device integration and communication. The board’s standout feature is its integrated 3.49-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen, providing a high-quality visual interface for control panels, status displays, and interactive prototypes without external wiring.
Engineered for advanced applications, the board includes a dual-microphone array with beamforming and noise reduction for voice commands, a 6-axis IMU for motion sensing, a precise RTC, and a premium audio codec. Power is supplied via the USB-C port, which also serves as the serial programming interface, supporting development with ESP-IDF, Arduino core, and MicroPython.
