The Night Vision Sensitive Infrared Light 3W is an accessory module designed to upgrade Raspberry Pi Camera setups with automated infrared illumination. It integrates a high-power 850nm IR LED and a light-sensing circuit to enable hands-free night vision functionality. The board’s control logic is straightforward: when the ambient light level, detected by the onboard photoresistor, falls below a user-defined threshold set via the trimmer potentiometer, the IR LED activates.
Power delivery and physical mounting are combined through the board’s screw terminals, simplifying the installation process directly onto compatible Raspberry Pi Camera PCBs. This module is engineered for low-light surveillance applications, providing the necessary IR spectrum lighting for camera sensors to capture clear monochrome video in complete darkness, though optimal imaging is recommended within a 3-meter range.
