Description
The Arducam 12MP IMX708 Camera Module is a premium imaging solution engineered for Raspberry Pi single-board computers. It centers on the Sony IMX708, a 1/2.43″ back-illuminated CMOS sensor that outputs 4608×2592 pixel RAW10 format images, providing high dynamic range and superior color fidelity. The module is paired with a fixed, wide-angle lens offering a 120° diagonal field of view, which is mechanically tuned for minimal distortion.
Key to its performance is the integrated Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) system, enabling rapid focus acquisition essential for applications involving motion. The onboard HDR processing combines multiple exposures in real-time to preserve detail in both shadows and highlights. A hard-mounted 650nm IR cut filter ensures color accuracy by blocking infrared light. The module operates from a 3.3V supply, with a maximum power draw of 1.16W, and is designed for reliable operation within a 0°C to 50°C temperature range.
