Description
The Geekworm X1000 PCIe Peripheral Board is meticulously designed to augment the Raspberry Pi 5 with high-speed M.2 NVMe storage capabilities. This HAT leverages the Raspberry Pi 5’s dedicated PCIe interface, enabling direct connection of M.2 Key-M NVMe SSDs for significantly improved data transfer rates and overall system responsiveness. It supports a range of NVMe SSD lengths, including 2230, 2242, and 2280, making it versatile for various storage solutions.
Powering the X1000 is flexible, drawing directly from the FFC PCIe ribbon, or for scenarios with ultra-large capacity SSDs that require more stable power, it can automatically supply power from the 40-pin GPIO header. The board comes with a matching installation screw pack that includes various lengths of copper pillars (17mm, 15mm, 6mm, 5mm), some with female/male and female/female options, ensuring compatibility with different NVMe board types and providing adequate clearance for cooling solutions like the Official Active Cooler or Argon THRML cooler. Users seeking comprehensive setup guidance can refer to the Geekworm Wiki for troubleshooting and detailed instructions.
