Description

The Raspberry Pi TV HAT provides a compact and powerful solution for integrating digital terrestrial television capabilities into your Raspberry Pi projects. This add-on board enables reception of both DVB-T and DVB-T2 broadcast systems, allowing you to watch live TV directly on your Raspberry Pi or establish a robust TV server to stream content across your local network to other devices. While all Raspberry Pi boards can function as a backend server with the TV HAT, for optimal performance when directly viewing TV on the Pi, models such as the Raspberry Pi 2, 3, or 3+ are recommended.

Equipped with the Sony CXD2880 TV tuner, the TV HAT ensures stable and clear reception across various channel bandwidths and frequencies, including VHF III, UHF IV, and UHF V. Its design includes mechanical spacers, a 40-way GPIO header for easy connection, and an aerial adaptor, streamlining the setup process. Software support is readily available with TVHeadend recommended for decoding streams, and popular media players like Kodi, OMXplayer, and LibreELEC compatible for a complete home entertainment system.
