Description
The MachXO3L Starter Kit offers an accessible platform for exploring Lattice MachXO3L FPGA capabilities. This entry-level breakout board integrates the LCMXO3L-6900C-5BG256C FPGA into a compact 3×3 inch footprint, making it suitable for both educational purposes and initial project prototyping. It features comprehensive I/O access and essential peripheral support for embedded system development.
The kit facilitates straightforward development with a single USB mini-B connection handling both power delivery and JTAG programming. An onboard SPI Flash enables advanced boot configurations, including external boot and dual-boot options for robust system designs. Furthermore, the inclusion of eight user LEDs and dedicated prototype areas enhances debugging and expansion possibilities, providing a flexible environment for custom hardware interfaces.
A pre-loaded counter design demo utilizes the embedded oscillator and programmable I/Os, offering a practical introduction to FPGA logic and device interaction right out of the box. This cost-effective and feature-rich starter kit empowers engineers and hobbyists to efficiently evaluate and develop MachXO3L-based applications, from simple logic functions to complex control systems.
