The CMV-2021D sensor utilizes a MEMS-fabricated catalytic combustion element paired with a temperature-compensating reference element to form a Wheatstone bridge. When hydrogen gas contacts the active element, catalytic combustion causes a temperature and resistance change, unbalancing the bridge and producing a voltage output proportional to the H2 concentration.
Engineered for harsh environments, the sensor operates reliably from -40°C to +85°C, offering excellent stability, repeatability, and selectivity for hydrogen. Its low power consumption and robust MEMS structure make it suitable for integration into portable detectors, hydrogen vehicle safety systems, and industrial monitoring equipment.
